More details about Lundy, click here.
Lundy’s own ship, MS Oldenburg, is a graceful motor vessel, comfortable and built on traditional lines. Below decks, she retains her original panelling and brass fittings but has been skillfully modernised to provide heated saloons, bar, buffet, shop and information centre.
The bar offers a wide range of drinks and a relaxing atmosphere, whilst hot and cold food is provided at the buffet. You can while away the time in our well-stocked shop or find out more about the island at the information centre.
On fine days there is plenty of space on deck and if you are lucky you may be treated to the company of a playful pod of dolphins who often delight in following the ship.
The date is chosen after taking into account tide times, which govern sailing and return times. This is important as many people have to travel considerable distances, both before and after the event.
Since 1987, it’s known to have been cancelled twice, once through bad weather and once as a result of poor ticket sales. As much notice as possible and full refunds will always be given if a trip is expected to be cancelled.
